Boy does time fly!!! I like read old entries and reminisce. I really can't believe how things have changed. Its almost embarrassing, the things I used to write about. So what has happened since I last wrote in my journal?
Well for starters, I moved out of my mom's house at one point, and moved in with a best friend. Things didn't work out. Well, to say it didn't work out is somewhat of an understatement. It was a disaster. The po-po got involved. More recently, I got myself a full-time job working as a receptionist in a cosmetic surgeon's office for about a year and a half in Fort Lauderdale. The Dr. was a crazy, nitpicky control freak. Luckily I no longer work there. But she paid me well. And that is all that really matters, my friends. Throughout the past 4 years, I was going to BCC-part time, full time, withdrew half of the time. Finally I achieved my goal of 60 transferable credits. At that point I was faced with the ever important decision of "What the hell do I do now?" So, it was between FAU in Boca or FGCU in Fort Myers. So after weighing my options, and choosing the financially safer route, I drove my ass to Fort Myers just this past January (in my sexy little '06 Lincoln Zephyr) to attend college at FGCU (and live with my dad). I'm currently majoring in Communication with an emphasis in Public Relations. But, as of late, I've been considering returning to my original major in Psychology, because, I may as well just go to grad school. The economy is just shitty as all hell, and people with "just" bachelor's degrees are pretty much screwed.
Anyway, living with my dad has been interesting. For all who know me well, remember that I was not my dad or stepmoms biggest fan. It's cool now, especially considering the fact that they want me to finish college once and for all because I am not getting any younger! I am not really fond of the new city I live in (it's terribly boring, I don't recommend it to anyone considering living here.) And freinds are NOT plentiful, yet. :( I do try to trek over to Fort Lauderdale as often as I can, though. I am actually quite ready to enter the work force(ON THE EAST COAST), and I cannot wait to be finished with my undergrad degree. I just want my life to start! I am tired of writing papers about things that I have absolutely no interest in-whatsoever. Just a few more semesters...
Oh and some funny news. Chris Rubin is my friend on Facebook. Mind you, about 5 years ago I had the biggest crush on him, he did not give me the time of day back then of course. Well, he sends me a message "I was looking at your pics, and I have to say, you are looking good..." Hah! 5 years too late, buddy! lol. Although...the thought has crossed my mind...
Well thats just a short update. I don't know if I'll be updating again anytime soon, but who knows...I always find my way back to this thing.
